Interdisciplinarity is the future

EditorialAbstract
We must increasingly promote interdisciplinarity. To achieve more successful and excellent results, we must increasingly promote the continuous interaction of the various branches of Dentistry as a science, but also in relation to Bioengineering, Engineering, Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Robotics, and other areas of human knowledge in the healthcare field.
The field of biomaterials will likely be the discipline of the future, bringing together various professionals from various fields to seek ever-better solutions to solve human health problems.
I had the wonderful opportunity to experience this new approach at the Center for Materials Science and Technology of the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research, here in Brazil. I saw several minds from various fields thinking in unison to develop materials to meet patients' health needs.
For this reason, we must increasingly focus on the integration of various disciplines, including Dentistry, so that we can offer increasingly better results for our patients. After all, this is what we dedicate our lives to.
